Chapter One: Life and Death Rattle
What’s better than a scantily clad, ass-kicking, other-worldly babe? Two…two of those babes is better. Joseph Michael Linsner and Dynamite comics present a union of beauty and blood, the likes of which have never been seen with Dawn/Vampirella #1.
This is, to my knowledge, the first time Vampirella and Dawn have ever met. I could be wrong, and there is a good chance that I am, but for all intents and purposes, I’m right. Anyways, in this book, they’re meeting for the first time. Both ladies have been captured by a demon that wants them to fight over him for his affection. Needless to say, these ladies are having none of that business. It is interesting to see how they work their way out of the demon’s web, quite cunning.
This book has everything you could expect from a book featuring two of the sexiest characters to ever grace the pages between the staples. There’s boobs, blood, demons, more boobs, a splash of blood, some side-boob, and of course, boobs. Honestly, there’s a lot of boobs in this book, and swearing. I loved it! But all of this debauchery would be for not if it wasn’t for the ultra-talented Joseph Michael Linsner taking the helm. If you are not familiar with his work, let me tell you: HE WAS BORN TO WRITE AND DRAW THIS BOOK!!! I think that’s fair to say. His women are beautiful, his detail is exceptional, and there’s just something about his layouts that are uniquely his own. You can tell when you’re reading a Linsner book. It just pops!
I’ve read a lot of books like this one. I mean, Dawn has been around for a while and Vampirella has been around forever. But, Dynamite really picked the right guy to tell this story, and I’m hoping it runs on longer than Vampirella’s v-neck. The marriage of these two characters is perfect and well overdue. If you need some hotness in this week’s reads, jump on this title now before everyone else does. Happy reading!
