Well I made it through my first day of Alamo City Comic Con. Managed to stay there the entire time and only took a break to go eat lunch with The Robert Herrera and we swung by the Marriott Riverwalk to confirm our room for tomorrow. I was able to get three interviews which I will be posting later this weekend and got a lot of cool pics which you can see on my Facebook page right here > www.facebook.com/geeksushi Still have a few more interviews to do and will definitely be getting more pics. The first day of ACCC was unbelievable. When I arrived this morning and pulled up to the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, the line was huge, wrapping around the entire block. I have not heard any official attendance numbers for this first day, but I was really surprised by the crowds and can’t wait to see what they are like on Saturday. So on this first day I witnessed Spider-man, Batman, Doc Ock, Catwoman, Batgirl, Jedi Knights, Bane, Lady Bane, Time Lords, Zombies, Wonder Woman, Darth Vader, Power Rangers, Ghost Busters, Jokers, Wrestlers and so many more. The featured cosplay group was amazing, and the amount of fans/attendees that participated in the cosplay was incredible. I was blown away by the amount of talent displayed by the artist in attendance. The vendors had a wide range of items available, including jewelry, tshirts, toys, games, and of course comics. There was so much to see and so many people to talk to, despite being there all day, I feel like I barely scratched the surface of the entire comic con experience. This was massive. Apple De La Fuente and his remarkable staff have done a phenomenal job in organizing, marketing and delivering an incredible experience that everyone can enjoy.

Geek Culture has been around for many years, probably around one hundred years or so. I personally believe that geek culture started with the birth of the super hero through comic books. Later as technology advanced, computers and video games gave birth to techies and gamers. As comic books, computers and video games have continued […]
